  • Teacher Training
  • The Person-Centered Approach and Humanistic Psychology
  • Learning Accountability & Autonomous Learning Practices
  • Durable Learning
  • Content and Language Integrated Learning (A.K.A. Content-Based Learning)
  • Extensive Reading & Reading Discussion Circles

  • Methods for Effective Use of Technology in Classes
  • Japanese University Students’ Learner Preferences Regarding E-books and paper books
  • Effective use of iPads in the classroom and whether the use of iPads in my university classrooms in Japan facilitates learning
  • Functions of e-books that facilitate reading fluency and learner motivation
  • Reactions of Japanese students to the introduction of mind maps and other graphic organizers
  • Flipped Classes and the effects of flipping classes on learner motivation, engagement in the classroom, and mastery of content
  • Whether the promotion of human rights through language learning and volunteer activities leads to more students being more actively engaged in promoting and human rights in the long term
  • The degree to which vocabulary and content is retained by learners
  • Learner use of spaced retrieval and other methods to increase durable learning
