Visa Application Process

Nagoya University of Foreign Studies will apply for a Certificate of Eligibility (a visa-supporting document) at the Nagoya Immigration Bureau on your behalf. It normally takes about one to two months for the bureau to issue it. Immediately after Nagoya University of Foreign Studies receives the certificate, it will be sent to the mailing address specified on the application form. It is advisable that you contact the nearest Japanese embassy or consulate to obtain further information concerning requirements for your visa application. Each student is responsible for obtaining a Japanese visa prior to departure for Japan.
