Study Abroad Program at NUFS Undergraduate and Graduate Schools
Program for students with higher Japanese proficiency, who wish to enroll in classes in Japanese with NUFS domestic students.
Program Highlights
- Study with NUFS domestic students in a variety of classes from several departments.
- Completely immerse yourself in the Japanese university experience.
- For those students who have mastered the Japanese language (see "Entry Requirements" below). This program allows the students to take classes in Japanese with NUFS domestic students.
Entry Requirements
- Must be enrolled in and recommended by one of our partner institutions.
- (For Undergraduate Classes) at least N2 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or equivalent proficiency level (certified by home institution or other Japanese language proficiency testing entity)*
- (For Graduate School Classes) at least N1 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or equivalent proficiency level (certified by home institution or other Japanese language proficiency testing entity)*
- A strong recommendation from staff at home institution.
Credit Requirements
- Minimum 7 Classes (14 credits) per semester and/or 10.5 contact hours per week.
