Spring Semester 2021

The “Global Japan Program” will be held online only.
Enrolled students will not be able to come to Japan during the semester.

The two following study programs have been canceled:
- Study Abroad Program at NUFS Undergraduate and Graduate Schools;
- Study Abroad - Language Teaching Practicum Program (LTPP).

Fall Semester 2021

For Fall Semester 2021, We are preparing to welcome international students on campus and to offer face-to-face classes only, or face-to-face combined with online classes.
However, please note that there is a possibility of changing due to the COVID-19 situation and Japanese Government Immigration policy. The Japanese government is currently suspending new entry of non-nationals. NUFS will continue to pay close attention to the announcements of the Japanese government, and will make a final decision on acceptance of exchange students by early June. The International Office will post it on our homepage and inform partner institutions and students who applied for fall 2021 by email as soon as it is decided.

As we are preparing for the fall semester of 2021 while watching the trends of immigration control of the Japanese government, the acceptance package will be sent a little later. If we decide to accept exchange students in the fall of 2021, we will send the acceptance package to students in early June.
The latest information will be posted on this website, so please check back often for updates.

We would appreciate your understanding.
