| New students attend the entrance ceremony on the assigned
date in April, when the cherry blossoms are at their peak. Various
orientation sessions follow. |
| University Foundation Day |
| May 2 is the University Foundation Day. |
| University Festival |
| At the end of October, there are two days of the University
Festival. Many events take place, such as concerts, sports, etc. This
is the biggest cultural event on the campus. |
| Commencement Day |
| In the middle of March, the commencement ceremony is
held. The graduates hold a farewell party after the ceremony. |

| There is a saying that "all work and no play makes Jack
a dull boy." The Nagoya University of Foreign Studies offers facilities
for students to take part in numerous club activities; some are cultural
or academic, others are physical. These clubs are run independently by
the students. |
