On April 22 (Sat), the "Kyoto Higashiyama Quiz & Photo Rally"—an exchange event between international students and Japanese students—was held in the Higashiyama area of Kyoto. Blessed with fine weather, 83 international students and 83 Japanese students were divided into 42 teams, each comprised of two international students and two Japanese students. After arriving at Kiyomizu Temple, students rode around the fresh greenery of Kyoto’s Higashiyama area, competing for points by answering quiz questions. Some teams rode in rickshaws, taking photos at designated spots, while others participated in rental kimonos. The teams were seated in their separate groups on the bus travelling to the event, and conversation among the teams was lively all the way there, as well as all the way back to the campus.
