Quiz & Photo Rally in Kyoto

On Saturday, May 23, the exchange event “Quiz & Photo Rally in Kyoto” was held. A total of 154 students—76 international students and 78 NUFS students —participated. Divided into 41 teams (each team generally consisting of two international students and two from NUFS), they toured the Nanzen-ji Temple and Philosopher’s Path area of Kyoto, where the fresh greenery was a sight to behold. By searching for designated spots as a team and answering quiz questions, the participants appeared to significantly deepen their bonds. Although it was quiet on the bus immediately after departure, by the time they arrived in Kyoto, everyone had warmed up to one another, and conversations in English and French were flying back and forth. According to the participant survey, over 90% of participants rated their experience as “satisfied” or “very satisfied,” with comments such as “It was a lot of fun” and “A valuable opportunity for international and Japanese students to interact” standing out. This event has now been held eight times and has become a popular event attracting many international and NUFS students each time. The NUFS International Office plans to continue holding such exchange events regularly to promote interaction between international and NUFS students.
