On Thursday, July 2, the NUFS Tanabata Festival 2026, organized by the Student Council Executive Committee, was held at the Communication Plaza. A total of 327 people attended, including 25 international students. The Media Industry Research Group served as the master of ceremonies. The event featured performances by the Wind Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra, and Live SounDs CLUB, as well as student-run activities such as a carnival-style shooting gallery and ring toss. Additionally, the Tea Ceremony Club hosted a Tanabata tea ceremony to allow international students to experience this facet of Japanese culture, and the Japanese Language Circle led workshops on making folding fans (sensu) and round fans (uchiwa). The event ended on a high note with a lively bingo tournament.
