Special Provisions for Admission of International Students

1. Admission to be conducted for the following schools, departments, majors, year of study, number of students, period required for graduation

3. Qualified Candidates

Candidates must meet the conditions (1) and (2) below, then meet or be expected to meet any one of the conditions (3) or (4) below by March 31, 2020.
(1) Non-Japanese citizens who have taken the ‘Japanese as a Foreign Language’ and ‘Japan and the World’ examinations in “The 2019 Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)” or “The 2018 Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)” administered by the Independent Administrative Institution Japan Student Services Organization, and have scored 210 points or above in ‘Japanese as a Foreign Language (reading comprehension, listening and listening-reading comprehension)’ and 35 points or above for ‘Japanese as a Foreign Language (writing)’ in the same examination session.
(2) Persons eligible for the Status of Residence (e.g. "college student") which will not adversely affect their admission to this university as in accordance with the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act.
(3) Persons who have completed their school education overseas amounting to the total of 12 years or equivalent.
(4) Persons who have been deemed to have academic abilities equal to or higher than those of high-school graduates through an individually conducted qualification screening process at the University, and be at least 18 years of age.

4. Entrance Examination Schedule

  • Submission of application documents:
January 6, 2020 (Mon) – January 14, 2020 (Tue)
Documents are to be submitted by post and to reach the University within the above mentioned period; postmark deadline for documents sent from within Japan only.
  • Examination:
February 17, 2020 (Mon)
  • Announcement of Results:
February 19, 2020 (Wed)
  • Deadline for Preliminary Enrollment Procedures:
February 28, 2020 (Fri)
Bank transfer can be made on the closing day.
  • Deadline for Secondary Enrollment Procedures:
March 13, 2020 (Fri)
Bank transfer can be made on the closing day.
  • Deadline for Refund Requests:
March 31, 2020 (Tue), 5 PM
