4. Conditions of Residency
(1) International students enrolled at NUFS or NUAS.
(2) NUFS and NUAS domestic students in receipt of university approval and parental or guardian consent.

5. Length of Contract
Period of Stay: Maximum one year
Commencement of Contract: Exclusively during arrival days designated by NUFS or NUAS.
Termination of Contract: Within one week of completing studies at NUFS or NUAS.

6. Moving-in Procedures
(1) Upon entry, residents are required to confirm that their room equipment is in good functioning order and do so in the presence of the caretaker.
(2) Residents who wish to leave their room prior to the original date of contract termination are required to notify the IO at least one month in advance and await formal permission before moving out.

7. Charges and costs
(1) Residents are required to pay a non-refundable \10,000 application fee. This amount will be deducted from residents’ bank/postal accounts after their first month of residency.
(2) Monthly rent is fixed at \35,000. These charges will be automatically deducted from residents’ bank accounts on the 20th day of each month. Rent shall be paid on a monthly basis and may not be paid on a daily basis.
(3) Rent, deposits, and any other associated payments are non-refundable.

8. Key Liability
(1) Residents must take every measure possible to ensure that they do not damage or lose their keys. In the event of a key being damaged, residents must report it to the IO and pay for a replacement key. Moreover, if a key has been lost, residents may also be required to pay for a new lock and its installation.
(2) Lending out room keys and/or making any duplicates is strictly prohibited.

9. Things to Remember
(1) Residents must lock their doors upon leaving their private room.
(2) Keep rooms (private and shared) and facilities clean and tidy.
(3) Residents are responsible for buying their own daily necessities (except for light bulbs).
(4) Follow the instructions given by the caretaker when using the equipment specified for communal use.
(5) Conserve electricity and water.
(6) Report all damages or loss of the dormitory property to the caretaker immediately. Liable residents will be responsible for any and all compensation.
(7) Garbage must be separated into designated bins for burnable garbage, non-burnable garbage, plastic garbage, cans, glass bottles, and used batteries.
(8) All kitchens and utensils are for residents’ use only. Residents are responsible for cleaning and tidying these areas and shared kitchen utensils.
(9) Especially between 10pm and 8am, keep noise to a minimum and refrain from disturbing other residents.
(10) Only residents are allowed to enter the dormitory. However, relatives may visit only with the permission of the caretaker. Overnight stays by relatives are not allowed.
(11) Be aware of the location of the fire extinguishers and be prepared to use them in case of emergencies. Residents must participate in the NUFS pre-arranged firefighting training session.
(12) If deemed an emergency situation, the university reserves the right to enter residents’ apartments for inspection or installation to ensure the maintenance, repairs, security, and safety of the room or building.
(13) Residents who wish to leave the dormitory temporarily for a trip or to return home must notify the caretaker of their destination and emergency contact details beforehand.
(14) Residents acknowledge that they are not allowed to select or change rooms for personal reasons.
(15) Follow any instructions given by the caretaker regarding any unacceptable behaviour.

10. Rules of Residency
(1) Residents are not allowed to light fires outside of designated areas.
(2) Smoking is prohibited outside of designated areas.
(3) Residents may only use pre-existing air conditioners and heaters.
(4) Residents are not allowed to leave their private property in the corridors and stairways.
(5) Residents are not allowed to repair, replace, or redecorate any rooms or furniture.
(6) Residents may not possess and/or bring in any illegal drugs or substances.
(7) Do not canvass other residents to join a political party and/or a religious party.
(8) Do not buy or sell things to other residents for personal gain.
(9) Do not put up notices and/or bulletins without permission.
(10) Do not leave clothes in the laundry room.
(11) All animals (including livestock and/or pets) are strictly prohibited in the dormitories.
(12) Do not dye hair in the bathroom.
(13) Rooms are single occupancy. No visitors allowed.
(14) Rooms are for residential purposes only.
(15) Residents are not permitted to ignite fires or be in possession of any dangerous, flammable products.

11. Grounds for Eviction
In the following cases, the IO will cancel your residence permit and order you to move out.
(1) Not adhering to the conditions of residency.
(2) Causing problems to other residents, neighbours, and/or the university, and persisting with any unacceptable behaviour after receiving a cautionary warning from the IO.
(3) Neglecting to pay the rent for more than two months.
(4) Leaving an apartment for a prolonged period of time without notice.
(5) Not compensating for incurred damages or loss of the facilities and furniture.
(6) Having a medical or health related condition that presents a problem or threat to themselves and/or the other residents.
(7) If the IO and/or the caretaker deem a resident unfit to live in the dormitory.

12. Moving-out Procedures
(1) Residents who wish to move out of the dormitory are required to inform the IO at least one month in advance to their desired moving date.
(2) Residents must not leave any of their own private property in their rooms. They must clean the room before they leave. Once the caretaker has inspected the room, residents will be asked to return their room keys.
(3) The communal facilities will also be inspected. If any of the communal facilities have been damaged, liable residents may be required to pay compensation.

13. Emergency Procedures
In Case of Fire   * Dial 119 for the fire department
(1) If you notice a fire, report it immediately to the caretaker and/or the university.
(2) Inform the other residents of said fire.
(3) If you see or smell smoke, immediately report it to the caretaker.
(4) If the fire alarm goes off, evacuate the building as quickly as possible.
(5) To prevent smoke inhalation, cover your mouth and nose with a wet towel.
(6) Stay low and guide yourself away from the fire to the nearest exit, using your sense of touch and a wall to guide you through thick smoke.
(7) Notify the caretaker if you know of any other residents that are still in their rooms.
(8) Familiarise yourself with the location of emergency exits and emergency evacuation procedures.
(9) To prevent the fire from spreading, shut your apartment door behind you.
(10) Stay calm and act quickly. Follow the caretaker or university staff members’ instructions.

In Case of an Earthquake
(1) Stay away from any windows.
(2) Get under a table or sturdy piece of furniture and cover your head.
(3) Familiarise yourself with the location of emergency exits and emergency evacuation procedures.

In Case of Illness or Injury   *Dial 119 for an ambulance.
If residents are ill or have been injured, please inform the caretaker, resident assistants or the IO immediately.

Other Matters   *Dial 110 for the police.
For all other emergencies, contact the IO.

4. 入居条件
(1) 名古屋外国語大学または名古屋学芸大学に在学する外国人留学生
(2) 名古屋外国語大学または名古屋学芸大学に在学する本学学生のうち、選考基準により入居を許可された学生で保護者の同意を得ている者

5. 入居期間
原則1年以内
入居日:本学が定める入居期間に入居すること。それ以前の入居は不可。
退去日:学期終了日より1週間後まで

6. 入居手続き
(1) 入居者は入居に際し、管理人立会いのもと居室の設備、備品その他について確認しなければならない。
(2) 入居者が在学期間中に退居する場合は、原則として1ヶ月前までにその理由を付して本学に申し出、事前に許可を受けなければならない。

7. 入居料等
(1) 入居時に入館料10,000円(返金しない)を徴収する。入館料は入居翌月の20日頃に銀行口座から引き落とす。
(2) 家賃は月額35,000円とし、該当月分を毎月20日頃に各自の銀行口座から引き落とす。家賃は月額で支払うものとし、日割りでの支払いは不可とする。
(3) 一旦納付された入館料及び家賃は原則として返還しない。

8. 鍵の管理義務
(1) 鍵は破損、紛失しないよう十分注意を払い管理すること。万が一、破損や紛失した場合には大学側に報告し、実費弁償するものとする。また鍵の紛失が原因で、防犯上鍵器具の全面的な取り替えが必要となった場合、入居者はその費用を負担しなければならない。
(2) 鍵を他人に貸すこと、複製することは禁止する。

9. 入居者としての心得
(1) 部屋を空けるときは、必ず施錠すること。
(2) 各部屋の清掃及び備品の整理整頓をすること。
(3) 消耗品や日用品は個人で購入すること。(電球以外)
(4) 個室・共有部分の備品は、管理人の指示通りに使用すること。
(5) 部屋の電気・水道は節約に努め、必要以上に使用しないこと。
(6) 施設、設備、備品を、万一破損したり、汚したりした場合はその当事者が損害を弁償すること。万一、これらを破損、紛失、汚損したときは、直ちに管理人に届け出て、その指示を受けること。
(7) ゴミは、「燃えるごみ」、「燃えないごみ」、「プラスチックごみ」、「カン」、「ビン」、「乾電池」に分別をし、所定のごみ箱に捨てること。
(8) キッチンの利用については入居者のみとし、使用者が責任を持って片付け・清掃を行うこと。
(9) 特に22時から8時の時間帯は、他の居住者や近隣住民に迷惑をかけないよう静粛にすること。
(10) 宿舎への入居者以外の立ち入りは禁止。ただし、親族が訪問する場合のみ管理人の許可を得れば可能。親族の宿泊は不可。
(11) 消火器の設置場所や使用方法を熟知しておくこと。また、大学が行う消火訓練には必ず参加すること。
(12) 本学は建物保全、衛生、防犯、救護等のために緊急に必要があると判断したときには随時室内に立ち入り、これを点検し適切な措置を講じることができる。
(13) 一時帰国や帰省、旅行などで外泊を伴う場合は、行き先と緊急時の連絡先電話番号等を管理人へ届け出ること。
(14) 入居者の個人的な理由で、部屋の選択や変更をすることはできない旨を了承すること。
(15) その他、運営上問題があると判断される行為には、管理人等から指導が与えられるのでそれに従うこと。

10. 禁止事項
(1) 火気は決められた場所でのみ使用すること。
(2) 定められた場所以外での喫煙はしないこと。
(3) 既設のエアコン以外の冷暖房器具は使用しないこと。
(4) 廊下・階段に私物や障害になるものを置かないこと。
(5) 個室、家具、共同施設等の増改築や改造を行わないこと。
(6) 麻薬など法律にふれるものを持ち込まないこと。
(7) 他の入居者に対し、その意思に反して、政治または宗教団体等への加入もしくは支持等の勧誘をしないこと。
(8) 他の入居者に対し、物品販売、その他営利を目的とした活動をしないこと。
(9) 勝手に掲示物を掲示しないこと。
(10) 洗濯物を洗濯室に放置しないこと。
(11) 建物内に動物(家畜やペット等)の持ち込みは一切禁止とする。
(12) 浴室内で髪染めをしないこと。
(13) 各部屋の入居定員は1名(本人のみ)とし、別人を同居させてはならない。
(14) 入居者は賃借室を住居以外の目的で使用してはならない。
(15) 発火、爆発等危険性のある物品の持ち込みを禁止する。

11. 入居許可の取り消し
次の場合、国際交流部が居住許可を取り消し、退去を命じます。
(1) 入居条件に適合していないと判断された場合
(2) 他の入居者、近隣住民または大学に迷惑をかけ、国際交流部からの注意を受けてもなお改善が見られない場合
(3) 使用料の納入をしばしば遅延もしくは2ヶ月以上怠った場合
(4) 届け出なく長期に部屋を空けた場合
(5) 施設及び備品等を破損または紛失し、その弁償をしなかった場合
(6) 病気など健康上の問題で、宿舎での生活が困難になった場合
(7) その他、管理人及び国際交流部が居住不適切と認めた場合

12. 退去時の諸注意
(1) 退居しようとする者は、退居しようとする日の原則1ヶ月前までに国際交流部に連絡すること。
(2) 私物はすべて持ち帰り、個室の清掃をし、管理人立会いのもとルームチェックを受け、部屋の鍵を管理人へ返還すること。
(3) 共同使用部分についてもチェックを受けます。設備・備品に破損や紛失があり、その責任者が不明確な場合、当時の居住者全員で弁償しなければならない。

13. 緊急時の対応
火災の場合  ※消防局電話番号「119」
(1) 火災を発見したら、すぐ管理人および本学職員に連絡すること。
(2) 大声で周りの人に知らせること。
(3) 火災と思われる臭い、煙など些細なことでも管理人に連絡を取ること。
(4) 火災報知器が鳴ったら、速やかに避難すること。
(5) 煙など吸い込まないよう、口と鼻を濡れたタオルで防護すること。
(6) 姿勢を低くし、壁に沿って煙から反対方向の非常口から避難すること。
(7) 部屋に残っている人がいたらすぐ管理人に連絡すること。
(8) 避難口や避難方法を予めよく確認しておくこと。
(9) 火や煙は他に広がることを防ぐ為、ドアは必ず閉めること。
(10) 火災時は冷静かつ速やかに行動し、管理人または本学職員の指示に従うこと。

地震の場合
(1) 窓の側から離れること。
(2) 机の下などに伏せ、頭を保護すること。
(3) 避難口や避難方法を予めよく確認しておくこと。
