NUFS has a special scholarship opportunity for all international exchange students in order to ease financial concerns and to foster international exchange activities. Please make sure to read "Regulations Governing Nagoya University of Foreign Studies Non-Degree Exchange Student Scholarships" before applying for a scholarship.

名古屋外国語大学交換留学生奨学金
　支給額：月額60,000円
　支給期間：NUFSに在籍する期間で最長12ヶ月間　＊日本に滞在している月のみ

NUFS Scholarship for Exchange Students
　Scholarship amount: 60,000yen per month
　Period: the maximum 12 months, during students have been on the register in NUFS

＜注意 Important Note＞
NUFS奨学金を受給するためには、ゆうちょ銀行もしくは三菱UFJ銀行の口座が必要です。来日前にいずれかの銀行口座を持っている場合はその銀行口座を使用してください。来日前に持っていない場合は、来日後に必ずゆうちょ銀行の口座を開設してください。（三菱UFJ銀行は来日後直ぐに口座開設できません。）各学期が終了する前月15日（春は6月15日、秋は11月15日）までにいずれかの銀行口座をNUFSへ登録しない場合はNUFS奨学金の受給資格を失います。
To receive the NUFS scholarship, students must have a bank account with either Japan Post Bank or MUFG Bank. If you already have an account with one of these banks before arriving in Japan, please use that account. If you do not have one, you must open a Japan Post Bank account after your arrival. (Foreign nationals cannot open an account with MUFG Bank until they have resided in Japan for at least six months.)
If students fail to register one of the above bank accounts with NUFS by the 15th of the month prior to the end of each semester (June 15 for the spring semester and November 15 for the fall semester), they will lose their eligibility for the NUFS scholarship.

名古屋外国語大学は、日本学生支援機構の海外留学支援制度（協定受入）に採択された年に限り、この奨学金を外国人交換留学生へ支給することがあります。これは毎年支給されるものではありません。支給する場合には国際交流課より対象の留学生へ通知します。対象者は出願書類（母校での成績や推薦書、学習意欲、経済状況など）を総合的に判断してNUFSで選抜されます。
なお、この奨学金の受給が決定した場合は、名古屋外国語大学交換留学生奨学金（月額６万円）を併給することはできません。また、月額８万円以上の他の奨学金と併給することはできません。他の奨学金を受給するためにこの奨学金の受給を辞退することはできます。

奨学金額：月額80,000円（採択された年によって変更の可能性あり）
受給者数：20～50名程度（採択された年によって異なる）
支給期間：NUFSに在籍する期間で最長12ヶ月間　＊日本に滞在している月のみ

Nagoya University of Foreign Studies (NUFS) will provide this scholarship to international exchange students only in years when NUFS has been selected by the Japan Student Services Organisation (JASSO) for the Student Exchange Support Program (Scholarship for Study in Japan under Agreement). It is not awarded every year. The International Office will notify eligible international students when this scholarship is available. Eligible applicants are selected by NUFS based on a comprehensive assessment of their application documents (e.g. results at their home university, letters of recommendation, motivation to study, financial situation, etc.).
If you are selected to receive this scholarship, you will not be able to receive the NUFS Exchange Student Scholarship (60,000 yen per month). In addition, you will not be able to receive any other scholarships that are 80,000 yen or more per month. You can decline this scholarship in order to receive another scholarship.

Scholarship amount: 80,000 yen per month (subject to change)
Number of recipients: Approximately 20-50 (varies by year)
